Starting the Quest and Locating the First Routers
To begin the mission, V must contact Nancy Hartley after completing the prior questline requirements. The investigation starts in Santo Domingo, where you must scan a metal box and climb a nearby fire escape to breach the first router. Following the trail leads next to the Jackson Plains in the Badlands, where V needs to eliminate local hostile forces before hacking a router mounted atop a van.
Tracking the Signal Through the Badlands and Pacifica
The third signal origin points directly to a large metal structure in the Biotechnica Flats region. After climbing up the ladders to meet Johnny, look along the wall opposite him to locate and breach the third router terminal. The final signal destination brings you to an amusement park in West Wind Estate, Pacifica, where an automated fortune teller bot resides. Scanning the side of this fortune teller machine reveals that Swedenborg-Riviera is actually a modified AI bot spreading generated propaganda.
Swedenborg Choices and Quest Outcomes
Upon discovering the truth behind the fortune teller, V is presented with a decision on how to handle the bot. You can choose to leave the bot alone, modify its programming with high Intelligence, or completely switch it off. Modifying or leaving the bot intact pleases Johnny, whereas turning it off shuts down the funny propaganda stream completely.
Concluding the Mission with Nancy
After deciding the fate of the bot, V calls Nancy to report the findings from the investigation. You have the option to tell her the full truth about the automated fortune teller or keep the reality hidden. Either decision rewards V with Eurodollars and successfully concludes the questline.
